Weekend Box Office: August 5th, 6th, & 7th

Despite mixed reviews (fans kind of liked it, critics kind of hated it), Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad crushed at the box office, having the best August opening ever. Disgruntled moms showed up for the second week in a row to keep Bad Moms at number three, and for some reason, approximately 780,000 went to see the Kevin Spacey turdfest Nine Lives. There are two possible reasons for this. Either it was the result of handful of mental health group home field trips, or it was playing in a bunch of small towns with one screen movie theaters.
