Weekend Box Office: June 9th-11th

Despite a significant drop in numbers, Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman took the top spot, crushing the number two seat, Universal’s highly anticipated The Mummy. As the Tom Cruise reboot is the springboard for Universal’s new Dark Universe, a shared cinematic universe featuring the studio’s classic monsters, the low numbers and poor reviews can not be a good sign. Captain Underpants, Pirates 5, and Guardians 2 cap off the top five.
